If you've ever dreamed of spending a few days surrounded by books, quiet corners, and timeless charm, The Library Hotel offers an experience unlike anywhere else in New York City.

Located on Library Way in Midtown Manhattan, just a few blocks from Grand Central Terminal, this boutique hotel celebrates literature from the moment you walk through the front doors. One of the hotel's most unique features is its Dewey Decimal theme. Every floor and guest room is dedicated to a different category of knowledge. During my stay, I found myself in the 600s—Medicine. While shelves of medical books weren't exactly my first choice for bedtime reading, it certainly made for a memorable conversation piece and added to the hotel's playful personality.

One of my favorite surprises was the hotel's beautiful reading room. Guests can enjoy complimentary light snacks throughout the day while relaxing with a book or simply taking a quiet break. Each morning, pastries, fresh fruit, juice, and a self-serve Italian espresso machine make for an easy, peaceful start before heading out to explore the city.

While the small outdoor patio felt a little tight, the adjoining lounge offered a warm retreat with rich colors, comfortable seating, and an inviting atmosphere. Another bright lounge featuring cheerful yellow décor and a wraparound terrace looked equally lovely—a wonderful place to settle in with a book or simply enjoy the afternoon light.

From there, continue to the nearby Morgan Library & Museum. During my visit, I explored their Tarot Card exhibit, but the library itself—with its breathtaking ceilings, historic architecture, and magnificent book collections—was easily one of the highlights of my entire trip.
